This short set up for an apparent series was a good read. A mystery is set up right at the end of the 35 pages that peaked my curiosity enough to want to continue. Most of this story has the crew getting to Mars and getting set up to conduct their exploration of the planet and, at the very end, a surprising examination of their first Mars sample.This is the kind of space exploration story I like, travel to a distant planet and encounter the unknown.

A very gripping first installment! Each character seems to relate to most peoples feelings if they were to find themselves on a far off planet surrounded by nothing but rock and space! Can't wait for part 2 of this series after the chilling cliff-hanger!
What an awesome teaser. I love the casual yet detailed style. Move over Asimov, this might be the next great sci-fi series.
Enjoyable read. Worth a few bucks, I plan on finishing the series. I think only one book is out right now but I'll be looking for the next one.

I learned to love reading at eleven with Isaac Asimov's "Foundation Trilogy," and have been hooked on science fiction ever since. From the first offering of this saga I think I'm going to love it, so I signed up for notification of the next installment. We're all set up for a mystery (and possible grave danger) on the last page of "Frontier Curiosity Part I." The science is good, but not overpowering, and that's nice. I've got enough professional journals to read. This is relaxing and fun.
